How do you dispose of the tampons, finger covers, lube bottles and all the other packaging? Please do not flush our products down the toilet. Recycle the Tampon Lube little bottle. As our Latex Finger Covers, Tampons and Tampon Cellophane wrappers are biodegradable, they can safely be disposed of in landfill garbage ie black bags. Our silicone lube would naturally be flushed from your vagina by your flow. Any residue that remains on the used tampon will be naturally decomposed. The residue that will end up in our sewage systems will be naturally decomposed by clay and sediment found in water processing plants or naturally occurring water bodies. Our box and other paper packaging can be recycled as well as the lube and finger covers little bags.
-
Are these tampons, finger covers, lube and all other packaging environmentally friendly? We are committed to sustainability and have taken steps to ensure our products are environmentally friendly. Our tampons are made with organic cotton and biodegradable materials conforming and certified with GOTS standards, and we use minimal and recyclable packaging to reduce environmental impact. Our medical grade Hygienic Latex Finger Covers are biodegradable and can also be recycled. “Biodegradable” is defined as a substance that can be broken down to its base composition by living organisms for example bacteria. “Non-biodegradable” is defined as a substance that can’t be broken down by living organisms. These substances for example glass can be degraded by the elements of nature. This happens with silicone, which is degraded over time to base elements ie silica, carbon dioxide and water. It’s inert and non-toxic, so it doesn’t pose significant environmental concerns, unlike plastic.
-
How often should I change my tampon? It is recommended to change your tampon every 4 to 8 hours, depending on your flow. On heavier days, you may need to change it more frequently. Always use the lowest absorbency necessary for your flow to maintain optimal comfort and hygiene.
-

-
How do I know which absorbency level to choose? We offer various absorbency levels regular, super, and super plus. Choose the level based on your flow. Regular for light to moderate flow, super for heavy flow, and super plus for very heavy flow. If you're unsure, start with regular and adjust as your flow becomes heavier.

Can I use Lubpon's Tampons overnight?Yes, you can use our tampons overnight and it is advisable for no more than 8hr's. However, remember to insert a fresh tampon before going to bed and change it immediately upon waking up to ensure safe and effective use. We highly recommend using Lubpon's Regular Tampon as it has the lowest absorbency level combined with an overnight pad if your flow reaches the heavy and very heavy stage. Using only an overnight pad without any tampons during your light stage is highly advisable.

Why does Lubpon only have Regular, Super and Super Plus sized tampons? Our research showed that the physical size of tampons smaller than Regular, poses a risk of being inserted in the urethra instead of the vaginal opening. Any tampon size larger than Super Plus poses a risk of being too dry ie has too high of an absorbance rate.
-
Why is Lubpon's Tampons consisting of a 100% Cotton core with a viscose cover and not only organic cotton like some other organic tampons on the market?Studies have shown that tampons made from certain synthetic fibres were more likely to support the growth of Staphylococcus aureus (causing TSS) compared to those made from cotton or a cotton-viscose blend. 100% Cotton without a sleeve results in a very high absorbent tampon that can dry out the protective mucosal lining promoting possible abrasions that can lead to TSS. Lubpon’s organic tampons consist of a 100% cotton core with a viscose sleeve that ensures a safe absorbance level enhanced by Lubpon’s specially formulated Lube, reducing the risk of abrasion to the mucosal lining significantly.
-
Are there any evidence between dry/high absorbancy tampons and menstrual Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)?Very high absorbent tampons that can dry out the protective mucosal lining promoting possible abrasions can lead to TSS.
